Poll: Getting to Know My Readers Better
Answer this poll and you can win one of five complimentary subscriptions for a full year
I’ve been writing this thing for over two years now and, to be honest, I know very little about my readers. I think that’s wrong. So please read this poll and send me your answers by email, simply by responding to this email or by writing to mankind@substack.com.
You will make me very happy if you respond and let me know about you! As an extra incentive, I will also throw in five complimentary subscriptions, for free, for a whole year, that I will give away randomly to five of those responders, as long as the responses arrive within the next two days. You really have nothing to lose and quite a lot to gain.
What do you think works well in A History of Mankind? The writing? The periodicity? The subjects? Anything else?
And what do you think works not so well? What things would you like me to do better?
Do you think that the subscription price ($9 per month/$90 per year) is too high, too low, about right? What do you think would be a fair price?
If you’re not a paid subscriber, what’s the main reason? Price? Lack of time? Anything else?
Some of my longer-term readers may remember I’ve posted extra content besides the History of Mankind numbered installments, notably interviews (Chats) and Quick Takes that are more closely related to contemporary issues? Do you like those? Would you like to see more Chats and/or Quick Takes?
That’s it! Type away as much as you want, or as little, and let me know your thoughts about what I do. It really is important to me, so let me thank you in advance.
